Postpartum Doula

As a postpartum doula, my first focus is on the new mother, and your recovery from birth. I can provide tips on how to have a smooth recovery, what types of products and protocols are helping for healing from vaginal and cesarean birth, and provide emotional support and guidance as you make this profound transition to your new role. You might be a first time mom or adding a sibling to your family, but with each birth you make the transition once more, and in doing so, deserve all the support, care, and pampering that a postpartum doula can uniquely provide. I have training to coach you with breastfeeding and pump, but I am also very supportive of folks who choose or need to use formula and bottle feed. I also provide newborn care instruction, partner support and guidance, sibling support, light household chores, and light meal preparation.

As your postpartum doula, I will provide nurturance and support during the "fourth trimester," which is the first few months after birth. This is an important time for new mothers to rest and recover from birth, to nestle in and bond with their baby, and to acknowledge the profound experience of motherhood. I'm there for your entire family though, and love helping to empower partners and siblings to help care for mama and baby.
